One Clear Voice - Leap of Faith

Young Women's New Beginnings

Last Night was our Young Women's New Beginnings and our theme was "Leap into Personal Progress" "Leap of Faith"  We got the idea on  http://www.sugardoodle.net. Sugardoodle is amazing website. I made a power point presentation of events we had this past year (mutual activities, girl's camp and youth conference). Also We showed this video called "Leap of Faith". We had some of the YW speak and it is neat to see how much they have grown and how their testimonies have grown so much this last year. I love these girls and I enjoy working with them and the YW leaders.

We made these origami frogs in the YW value colors. These frogs are really easy to make and are a lot of fun for little kids.

A lady in our ward made this cute frog cake for us and it taste as good as it looks. Her cakes are amazing!!! I am grateful for her sharing her talent with us.

I have decided that it is time to start a blog. Especially since we are starting our family and we live so far away. I want to do better at staying in touch with family/friends and having a blog is a great way. I tried to catch up at least since baby Mark was born three months ago.  I have really enjoyed my sister-in-law's blog (Becky). I haven't seen their son Mason in person yet, but I feel like I know him through her blog and I hope that I can do the same. She does a really good job keeping all of us updated on how her and Mason are doing and my brother Matt. I want our family to be apart of our son's life, so I am really thankful for these blogs and for my friend Nikki who came over and showed me how to make one.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day landed on mutual night, so we decided to do a YW babysitting mutual night. Parent's who wanted to go on a date for Valentine's Day could drop off their kids at church from 6:00-8:00. We had 14 kids under 6 years old. It was a lot of fun. One of the leaders was in charge of the Valentine's Day activities. The YW/YM made crafts, read books and played games with the kids.  All the kids had a lot of fun and some didn't want to go home. Bret was able to come and help out. I love those mutual activities when he can come. When we did a BBQ/pool party our spouse and children were able to come as well and have a good time.

Bret's Power School Graduation

Today Bret graduated from Power School. It is definitely time to celebrate. We made it through a stressful time of intense learning and pregnancy/birth of our son Mark. We didn't know how we were going to do it, but we just kept pushing forward and now receiving our reward of accomplishment.
